The Problem

Dapper Labs was a pioneer in Web3 development. The creator of the wildly successful CryptyKitties and NBA Top Shot apps needed some help in refining their developer tooling. This would include not only their FlowTestNet and Wallet, but the creation of a reference product for creating with Flow.

The Solution

My team was responsible for defining the user journey, designing and then building the reference application, while also developing the UX/UI for the Flow Developer TestNet and Wallet. We dug deep into Flow and all things Web3 to create a reference application that would not only meet their needs, but show a true use for the technology as a proving ground to spur development growth. We created Kitty Items to do just that. A simple to replicate project, built on Flow that allowed new developer users to dive into creation without having to think through the product process. Just get in and play with your own Web3 e-commerce site.

The Result

Not only was the new developer tooling a hit with the audience, but the Kitty Items reference application had 409 stars and 213 forks on Github before it was deprecated (https://github.com/onflow/kitty-items).
